Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 January 2026. How we handle personal data, and the rights you have under the GDPR.

Who we are

Play the Stack operates as Neutral BV, a Belgian private limited company. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect

This is a simple, static informational website. We only collect personal data that you choose to send us:

  • Contact form: when you send us a brief, we receive your name, company & role, email address, the topic you select, and your message.
  • Newsletter: if you subscribe to the Monday morning briefing, we use your email address solely to send it. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not create accounts, build profiles, or ask for any data beyond the above.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or third-party analytics. Fonts are self-hosted, so simply visiting the site makes no third-party requests and leaves no tracking behind.

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and troubleshooting, as is common for any website.

Why we process it, and on what basis

  • Answering your message — to read and reply to your inquiry (performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding).
  • Sending the newsletter — only if you subscribe (your consent).
  • Accounting — where a working relationship follows, to meet legal bookkeeping obligations.

How your data is handled and shared

Contact-form submissions are delivered to us by email (to ask [at] playthestack.be) through our hosting and email provider. We do not use a CRM, advertising networks or analytics services, and we never sell or rent your data. Any provider that processes data on our behalf does so under a GDPR data-processing agreement; any transfer outside the EEA relies on Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Contact messages: kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any follow-up, then deleted.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Accounting records: 7 years, as required by Belgian tax law.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction, deletion or portability of your data, or object to its processing. You can also lodge a complaint with Belgium's Data Protection Authority (contact@apd-gba.be).

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. The contact form includes spam protection, and access to the messages we receive is limited to the people who need it.
